Wow, I am very impressed with this tool! The video you made is really cool and I appreciate how the watermark for it is not horribly obnoxious. It was hard to tell from your screencast, but I think that there's actually quite some differences between Magistro and Filmora. Filmora allowed me to quite a lot more flexibility it seemed, but even without that flexibility it seems you can still make some pretty neat stuff. I'm still on my quest for the 'best' moving media tool and am currently trying something called 'lightworks' which doesn't slap me with a huge watermark, but on the other hand is really tricky to figure out and takes an extra long time to export. We'll see how that goes.
I had never heard of Magisto, but it is great tool. As I watched your screencast, I thought about Animoto, which I am more familiar with, and thought it was comparable. However, Magisto seems to be a better tool especially its free graphics and transitions in between the videos. I am definitely going to play around with this site because I couldn't tell if we could upload our own recordings to the video or if their music was the only option for sound. I also wasn't sure if we could create our own editing style or if we had to chose one that comes with the site.
Hi Elaina, I think I will adapt this tool instead of Animoto! Essentially this reminds me of Animoto by combining photos and texts. This can be used for classroom presentations as a students and a teacher. This is a great alternative being that it is free and available. Although we can only make limited movies, I didn't see any water marks. How would you be incorporating this program in your classroom? This is rather engaging for students as they can combine photos music and text! Thank you for your post!
Hi Elaina, I really appreciate your effort with using Magisto. What an amazing tool! While digital tools can encourage students and adults to find the creative storyteller within, the use of video editing apps, such as Magisto, helps to magnify the experience. Job well done!
